FULL TIME & PART TIME/CLINICAL POSITIONS IN BROOKLYN:
Genesis Detox of Brooklyn, LLC is a Private NYS OASAS Certified/Joint Commission Accredited/ SAMHSA Certified 35 Bed freestanding Inpatient SUD Detox located in Sunset Park Brooklyn.
GENERAL CLINICIAN JOB DESCRIPTON:
Clinicians needed for positions in a NYS OASAS Medically Supervised Inpatient Withdrawal & Stabilization Service (detox). Candidates must have the ability to multi-task, are fast learners, computer literate, flexible in facility assignments, show no patient favoritism, good patient boundaries, patient-centered and ability to work past scheduled hours if needed. The environment is fast-paced, and our patients are in crisis, we are here to help them take that first step into their recovery and to encourage them to live a life without SUD.
CORE DUTIES & RESPSPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain and manage clinical needs of assigned caseload (10 patients) ensuring accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all interventions/services.
· Conduct and document individual and group counseling sessions, as required by 816.7 regulations.
· Complete various case record assessments and initial admissions assessment as needed.
· Maintain patient confidentiality as required by all applicable statutes (42 CFR part 2, HIPAA)
· Complete all consents as required (emergency, family/collateral, aftercare, medical, posttreatment)
· Communicate with referral sources.
· Work cooperatively with a team of clinicians, medical staff, and unit aides.
· Work in coordination with DC Planner (and independently in absence of DC planner), completing discharge documentation as required.
· Ensure that daily treatment schedules are followed (groups, individual sessions), and provide coverage where necessary.
· Complete Incident Reports as necessary
· Remain current with, and utilize evidence-based treatment approaches (e.g., MET, CBT, MAT-SAMHSA group curriculum. Conduct, and demonstrate competence in group, psychoeducation, and individual sessions.
· Manage patient conflict, and intervene in crises utilizing de-escalating techniques (e.g., verbal altercations, AMA risk).
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively in writing and orally all relevant information related to patients, patient property, environment of care. Makes timely and complete entries of all incidents as required.
Works collaboratively with all other departments to ensure that daily program schedule is followed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified Health Professional, CASAC-T (who has passed State Exam preferred), CASAC, CASAC-2, A-CASAC, Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Georgian) preferred, can have minimal experience with a willingness to learn, if in Recovery a strong foundation is suggested for this environment
REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor (in absence Program Director)

Pay: $37,000.00 – $38,000.00 per year
